Pretty in Pink

I printed out a bunch of digi images from my stash the other day. It makes me uneasy to know that I have loads of them just sitting there, waiting to be used in a project. I think I should use them more often.

Here's a card I made with a cute image. Some quick colouring, some dry embossing and a simple punched out embellishment - easy and adorable! And one can't go wrong with gingham for baby cards :)
(Sadly, I don't have details of where I got this image from.)

 The pink gingham paper appears a little brighter than the actual shade. All a matter of  playing with light I guess...

Another ISS Image...

I love the retro collection at ISS. The images are chic and trendy and a lot of fun to play with. Here's a card I made with a baby shower theme. I wanted to avoid the standard pink 'n' blue. Green seemed like an option. I also wanted to use my new bundle of 6x6 pattern paper and it had these cute baby themed ones in there.

Another Birthday Card

I'm back with another birthday card I made this afternoon. Colouring in that cake has brought in some cake cravings. Darn! Maybe I'll settle for some of my instant 'throw-in-a-buncha-stuff in a bowl' microwave choc pudding instead, hmmm...

 

 

Inspired Projects

How cute is this? I say it looks yummy enough to go 'slurrrrp'! I saw this on Angie Kennedy Juda's tutorial here. Boy, am I gonna be making several of these or what?!

Fun with Stamps!

I'm back with three more cards I made, all using some new and some old stamps. And although they did not take very long, I really enjoyed making them. Me thinks these are great if you want to make a bunch of cards for a fete or sale.

Little Bundle of Joy

The best thing I love about making baby cards are the beautiful soft pinks 'n' blues I get to use. Oh and the patterns are so adorable as well - gingham, stripes, polka dots...so pretty :)
Today I've used gingham patterned paper for the first layer. Then I stamped 'girl' all over a piece of white cardstock in Cameo Coral (love that shade!) and printed out the image and the sentiment on my loyal printer :) I've inked the edges with Cameo Coral (I told you I love it!).
So simple and quick, I'm thinking of making similar ones but with different patterned paper.

This card goes to Caardvarks' Sketchfest Wednesday. It's a great, practical and versatile sketch, I love it!

It's Spring!

Spring's almost here in Australia! It's a beautiful time of the year. I made this card inspired by the spring colours I saw in a magazine - pink, green and yellow. I enjoyed colouring my stamped images in these colours and the whole card has this buttery yellow feel which I love. That's what spring's all about - a burst of sunshine!

Cute as a Button

This card was so simple to make! It turned out quite well and I think it would be great for a new baby or a little girl's B'day. I love soft pastels, they lend such a warmth and make me think babies, meadows, sugar 'n' spice and all things nice...hmmm I'm a softie, ain't I?

The photo doesn't do justice to the colour scheme. Like I said, I'm still learning to take good photos, will figure it out soon :)

I inked the chipboard letters and the braces for 'CUTE'. The others are stamped words.

DRS Design Sketch Challenge

I made this card today and off it goes to DRS Design Sketch Challenge.
This is my first entry to a card design event and I'm excited, especially because I've started re- blogging with this entry :-) Creadiv was sadly quiet for a long time as I was busy with my food blog www.cozylittlekitchen.blogspot.com. I was browsing through some paper craft blogs the other day and came across so many beautiful ones that I was motivated to get back to card making. I hope to keep it going this time.
